Five motion graphics pieces you should be watching

In the motion department we strive not only to give life to beautiful illustrations and designs, but also to make them truly resonate with our target audiences. We're always on the look out for for fresh examples of motion graphics for inspiration or simply for entertainment. Here are five recent pieces that really grabbed our attention. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did.

 

THE POWER OF LIKE

This powerful animation is just incredible because of its dynamic flow, pace and tactile design. How it makes us dive into a dark ocean only to bring us back to a brighter surface with perfect flow. The inspiration we’ve taken from this are all the amazing subtle details of the secondary animation, the bullet-time scenes and the crafty 3d style achieved in 2d!

 

 

FOUNDATION OF AMERICA

We love the blend of 3d and 2d styles in this piece, nöbl studio have made an excellent job at taking a serious topic and transforming it into a fun and informative animation. We take from this piece their use of shadows to give depth to the 2d characters, their good taste in blending traditional animation, in combination with simple, tactile 3d assets. Watch it here

 

 

HELFENDE HAND

The real superheroes of Germany. Here, we love the wooden organic design of the world and the sheer playfulness of the piece. We love the texturing and how much you feel you need to touch it.The video is so visually appealing that it doesn’t need character animation at all to keep you interested.

 

 

REEPERBAHN FESTIVAL 2016

We’re so into the edit of this amazing title design. The abstract animation is marvellously in pace with the music and the photorealistic renders are brilliantly executed. We take from this an inspiration of editing, colours and form.

 

 

AFTER PRACTICE

So many tiny detailed touches to make this simple walk cycle one of the best we’ve seen in a while. From the delicate movements in her clothing to the beautiful yet subtle flecks of changing light as the rain hits her umbrella. The ability to make a scene feel like it’s moving so much with no camera movement is really clever. Great technique for future workflow.
