AI Campfire

20 Jan 2025

AI is sold as the panacea to boost productivity, efficiency, and growth, with businesses innovating at lightning speed in pursuit of market dominance. But what are the consequences of this rapid AI development?

Intrigued, we set out to explore the ethical dilemmas and transformative impact of AI.

From job displacement to privacy violations and algorithmic bias that could deepen existing inequalities, how do we enable the ethical innovation of AI that amplifies the good and mitigates the bad?

Against the flickering light and crackling embers of a campfire, generation upon generation have shared cultural knowledge, engaged in spirited debate, found common ground. So we took professionals and academics off the conference stages, out of the fluorescent lights and into the welcoming flicker of the flames to explore the ethics of AI innovation and confront these potential consequences head-on.
