The Brief
How can we help Deloitte employees understand and connect with the different leadership roles within the firm?
The Solution
Two light-hearted animations that help to support new people leaders and encourage them to feel confident in their new roles.
BACKGROUND
Deloitte needed help to promote their people leader toolkit. The toolkit helps people leaders understand what’s expected of them, where they fit in the organisation and how they can make a difference.
They wanted to provide a space where new leaders can learn to support, collaborate and lead within the firm along with fostering inclusion and building equity in current and future leadership plans.
OUR APPROACH
We wanted the films to feel upbeat with a sense that this was a journey with many different paths. The films are light-hearted in manner helping the often difficult subject of leading people to land in a friendly and inclusive way.
The first film serves as an overview and introduces the blend of roles in a short and energised 2-minute animation. The roles appear as playing cards that can be re-arranged or shuffled, illustrating that a leader needs to be flexible in their schedule where they might be a people leader for one person, a coach for another, and a team member as well.
The second film takes a deeper dive into the people leader role itself. Following a new leader while they explore the purpose, scope and responsibilities of the role.

The Playbook
The animations are accompanied by a playbook that serves as a practical guide to leading people, offering a deeper understanding of these roles and responsibilities.
The interactive PDF is designed to be completed as the learner works through the book. It features checklists, questions, and thought starters tailored to the demands of being a People Leader.

These are great. The feedback so far has been excellent and has helped to create a very positive response towards the whole leadership programme.
