Just Launched – The New British Airways i360 Website

How can we transform a corporate website into an engaging, future-proofed and successful commercial platform that truly celebrates Brighton’s prime tourist destination?

In 2016, Tilt were tasked by the i360 team to build a corporate website that would help attract investment and galvanise local support by conveying the scale, ambition and sheer excitement of the British Airways i360.
18 months after the attraction opened for business, the i360 team wanted to change gear and shift the focus from the attraction as a structure to more of a leisure experience and desirable destination. The team were also keen to shed the more corporate feel of the original site and increase its accessibility. The key intention was to showcase British Airways i360’s ability to ‘Lift people’s spirits’ through highly engaging content and imagery and a seamless user experience.
As a result, Tilt were challenged to re-design the original site to reflect the new strategy and add warmth and engagement to attract more visitors online and to the attraction itself.
Our key objectives for the new design and build were to provide a clear understanding of the product available and an unforgettable experience for the young and old. They were also to increase website traffic and conversions by:
Improving the user experience
Making the booking and browsing interface a breeze
Supporting the key areas of the business; pod flights, seasonal offers and special events, venue hire (pod and event spaces), food and drink, gift shop and commercial offering.Additional objectives for the new design were:
To increase the visual presence of commercial partners by adding a logo banner to the footer of the website,
Making the site future-proof with an accessible design and
Minimising email/phone enquiries to lighten internal admin with clear FAQs.
We’re really excited with the early website re-launch results and feedback from the i360 team has been fantastic. Our digital partnership has allowed us to reach new heights and we’re looking forward to further feedback as the year progresses.
