Turn All The Stones
A short film about our B Corp recertification.
Every three years, a B Corp is required to be re-certified to ensure companies maintain ethical practices and continuously improve. Re-certification can be an anxious time for companies, and I think of losing B Corp status a bit like losing a Michelin Star!
So we’re very proud (and relieved) to announce that Tilt is now officially re-certified. Rather than publishing our usual annual report document, we’ve marked this B Corp milestone with the release of Turn All The Stones - a film featuring some of our people. It’s an honest, behind-the-scenes look at our journey across the key impact areas that help shape our score.
The film reveals how our re-certification is about pushing ourselves further, not just celebrating what we’ve already achieved. It captures the honest reality of holding our operations accountable — like making tough commercial calls such as stepping away from a key client whose values no longer align. Through the voices of our team, Turn All The Stones breaks down some of the tangible initiatives on which we’ve embarked, across our governance, culture, and environmental impact:
- People: In the light of a recent flurry of little Tiltlings, Senior Creative Producer Amber shares how a team-led review of industry benchmarks inspired directors to upgrade our maternity/paternity package, creating a fairer, more supportive workplace for new parents.
- Environment & Carbon Footprint: AI has become fully embedded in what we do, but it’s hard to understand the true cost. Senior Developer Colette outlines our internal AI focus group, which actively measures the energy footprint of our digital tools and offsets carbon locally through renaturing initiatives on the South Downs.
- Ethical Tech Leadership: AI brings a lot of benefits, but there are clearly big ethical concerns. Managing Director Jon introduces AI Campfire, a web series set in an ancient forest, where industry experts discuss both the extraordinary potential and the ethical risks of emerging technologies.
- Community Engagement: We want to help make things easier for entry-level creatives who are feeling the squeeze right now. Head of Motion Stig highlights our hands-on work experience placements, sharing how mentoring up-and-coming motion graphics talent inspires the next generation of creatives.
- Pro Bono Impact: Sussex Grazed connects food produced through habitat recovery and sustainable land management directly to our local community. Tilt Designer Emma details our brand-building work with them, helping the business to scale its reach and impact.
2026 has been a great year; One where we’ve achieved many of our B Corp goals, and improved our Impact score: 96.2 out of a possible 134.6, up about eight points on last year. And all while bringing in our healthiest turnover to date.
Ultimately, re-certification isn't a finish line; it’s proof that continuous improvement is possible when purpose and profit align. As more organisations commit to these standards, we remain convinced that what is good for business, can also be good for people, communities and the planet.
