Modern Learning
The Brief
Make hybrid working actually work
KPMG had embraced hybrid working early, but the transition exposed gaps in soft skills, work-life balance, and daily productivity. The firm needed a learning experience that could be delivered seamlessly into the routines of a dispersed workforce — not another mandatory module.
The Solution
Deliver learning at the point of need, not the point of mandate
A suite of over ten micro-learning packs — covering workspace setup, breathwork, meeting etiquette, time management, boundary-setting, and more — designed for daily life, not classrooms. Delivered as video, social content, podcasts, and interactive challenges, each pack met employees exactly where they were.
The office had changed. The learning hadn’t.
KPMG were quick to adopt hybrid working. The transition itself was smooth, but the discovery phase revealed problems beneath the surface. Employee wellbeing scores were showing strain. Productivity patterns had shifted. Boundaries between work and home had blurred to the point where burnout was becoming a real risk — and the firm’s existing learning infrastructure had nothing to offer a workforce that no longer sat in the same building.
Traditional learning programmes weren’t built for dispersed teams working from kitchens and spare bedrooms. KPMG needed something designed for the way people actually work now.
Traditional programmes weren’t reaching dispersed teams. When we proposed a suite of point-of-need learning packs designed for daily life rather than classrooms, KPMG’s response was immediate: how quickly can we have them?

Our Approach
Small interventions. Measurable shifts.
We researched the channels and tools available, then designed content that could live inside existing workflows. No new platform. No additional login. Just useful, well-crafted content arriving when it matters.
The packs covered everything a hybrid worker needs. The Space We Work In tackled home lighting, dressing for remote work, and desk setup. Breathwork micro-podcasts helped employees shift from stress to focus in minutes. The Power of Lunch challenged people to step away from screens — calling a friend, photographing their walk — and share the results on KPMG’s social channels.
For meetings, we created Hybrid Meeting Masterclass with Caz Coogan — a mockumentary comedy series where a fictional facilitator runs workshops with real, unsuspecting KPMG employees. For time management, motion graphics inspired by lo-fi study beats walked learners through the Pomodoro technique and weekly planning.
Close WFH Day helped people set boundaries at the end of each working day. Heck Yes/Hell No gave them tools to evaluate requests and say no without guilt. A marketing campaign supported the launch, making the learning visible across internal channels and building a community from the ground up.
Making meeting etiquette memorable through laughter
A six-episode mockumentary comedy series where fictional facilitator Caz Coogan runs workshops with real, unsuspecting KPMG employees. Nobody told them the cameras were rolling for comedy — and the results made meeting etiquette something people actually talked about.
Hybrid Meetings Masterclass
Turning weekly planning into something meditative
Motion graphics inspired by lo-fi study beats, walking learners through the Pomodoro technique, task auditing, and weekly planning. Designed to feel like a quiet gift to yourself — not an assignment from your employer.

Project Insights
From training programme to daily habit
Most hybrid working content tells people what to do. We designed content that helps people do it — at the moment they need it, in the format that fits. The difference sounds small. The effect is transformative.
A comedy sketch about muting your microphone. A breathwork session between meetings. A challenge to photograph your lunchbreak walk. A lo-fi animation turning weekly planning into something meditative. None of it feels like learning. All of it changes behaviour.
Collaborating with Tilt helped give us fresh ideas and innovative approaches. What has been really exciting is the opportunity to grow our community from the ground up. Feedback from around the business has been great.
