Thriving Together
The Brief
A benefits package built to keep talent. Too few people knew it existed
A professional services client had rebranded their benefits programme, covering everything from healthcare to pensions. But a benefit nobody understands is a benefit nobody uses. New joiners were arriving with no clear picture of what was on offer, and the value of the package was leaking away unread. The relaunch had to land.
The Solution
Turn the policy document into something people watch
We created ten short animations, each turning one dense policy into a clear, human story. A distinctive illustration style, a warm voice-over and light sound design gave Thriving Together a visual language its people recognised on every platform. They then came back and commissioned ten more.
There’s a story behind the story

An unused benefit costs the same as a used one. Only one of them keeps people.
Deloitte’s Thriving Together team supports a workforce spanning the US and US India. The programme covers health, wealth, family and wellbeing: insurances, subsidies, pensions and opt-ins. It is one of the firm’s largest investments in its people.
But benefits only retain talent when people understand them. The programme had just been rebranded to feel more relevant to new joiners, and a rebrand nobody notices changes nothing. Every policy that went unread was spend without return. Every new joiner who missed it was a little less likely to stay.
The content was technical and the audience was diverse: two cultures, many time zones, thousands of roles. The relaunch needed one visual and narrative style that worked everywhere, explained quickly, and prompted people to enrol.

Our Approach
Say less. Land more.
We started with the sub-brand. Working alongside the Thriving Together team, we built a visual and narrative system on it: a clean illustration style, a consistent cast of characters, and a tone that was warm without being soft.
Then we went through the policies. Each script stripped a dense benefit back to the one thing an employee needed to know and the one thing they needed to do. Technical accuracy stayed. Everything else went.
The audience spanned the US and US India, so the storytelling stayed universal. A clear voice-over carried the information. A light-touch sound design held attention without competing for it.
Every illustration went into a shared bank, so each new video built on the last rather than starting from scratch. By phase two, the system was doing half the work.
Key Project Assets
Thriving Together Animation Suite
Twenty short explainer animations covering health, wealth, family and wellbeing benefits, each distilling a technical policy into a clear, memorable story that points people to their next step.
Visual and Narrative Style System
A look, tone and character set built on the Thriving sub-brand, giving every video the same recognisable feel on every platform, so the programme was instantly identifiable wherever it appeared.
Script Framework
A scripting approach that reduced each benefit to what you need to know and what you need to do, keeping technical accuracy while cutting the policy language that stops people reading.
Thriving Together Illustration Bank
An expanding library of illustrations, grown across both phases, that Deloitte can reuse across its own communications so every new piece builds on what came before.
Impact
The videos gave Thriving Together a voice people recognised and a format they actually finished. Deloitte’s professionals responded, and the programme team came back to commission a second phase.
Project Insights
From fine print to plain sight
Benefits programmes fail quietly. Nobody complains about a policy they never read. They just don’t use it, and the investment behind it goes to waste. Thriving Together proved the fix is rarely more information. It is less, told better, in a form people choose to watch.
It also proved what happens when the process works as well as the output. Deloitte’s team had what they needed to decide quickly, the videos landed with their people, and the call came for a second phase. That return is the real measure.
Tilt did an amazing job. We were impressed with not only the creative outcome but also the process. The team was always willing to work alongside us. One of the most professional organizations I’ve worked with. And our professionals loved the videos.
