As AI changes how we understand what it means to be human, how do we avoid wandering into an ethical catastrophe of our own making?

In March. we took a journey through digital ethics with ex-human rights lawyer and tech ethics expert Uthman Ali.

Uthman Ali is an expert on AI ethics and is currently working in the energy sector. As a human rights lawyer and neuro-ethicist, he recognized how regulations were not keeping up with the pace of innovation and specialized in this emerging field. Some of his current projects include creating ethical policies/procedures for the use of robots, and wearables and using AI for creativity.

It was an interactive, brain-expanding session that helped us navigate our way through the challenges of digital ethics and the unintended consequences of design – from AI bias to homicidal toasters.
